I was just reading some of the responses in yahoo questions. It amazes me sometimes not only the different statements people will express, but how many others take it and consider it such an intelligent answer.
One individual was asking about a home based business that cost $50 up front. The answer that was voted to be the best was one that urged the individual asking to remember that anything that asks for money up front is a scam.
You know, I can't think of any real businesses that I've ever seen that you didn't have to put money up front to get into them. It just doesn't seem to me that the person answering really thought much before the reply. Maybe they have "business" confused with "job." Although I know of a lot of "jobs" that you have to put up money at the front.
For example. Fast food. Most fast food restaurants require you to wear an uniform. They provide the shirt and hat but most all of them require you to go and buy a certain type and color slacks, along with slick resistant shoes. You can expect to spend anywhere from $60-$100 up front for this opportunity to make minimum wage. Not a great deal but I've got to admit I would hesitate to call it a scam.
Got to admit though, I'm not sure which concerns me most. The stupid answer, or how many Americans thought it was brilliant.
