Advice On How To Choose A Network Marketing Company

Have you ever considered working at home for yourself but you really just don’t know what to look for in a company? There are many companies out there that are scams. For example, for awhile it seemed like anytime I got on the internet I would have an ad pop up a some point advertising a business opportunity where Google was paying people to type in links from home.

You may have seen the ad. Usually it would give the testimonial of someone from Ft. Payne who was making big money doing this. Seems like it said the lady was making $77 per hr if I remember correctly. Now I had never heard of the lady but lets face it, I don’t know everybody in Ft. Payne. I travel a lot. Some of you may know that about me, others not. But I do. When I traveled I would still access the internet and I found it interesting that I still had that same ad pop up, with the exact same testimonial, right down to the amount they were making every week. But with a different name and location. What I really found to be interesting was one day the same picture of the lady came up with a different name and location.

Come to find out Google was just the latest name this company went with. They pick a well known company's name and use it. They advertise that you can get everything you need for this business for only $1 and then once they get your account number you have all kinds of other charges that are charged to it. They have now dropped the google name but I still see the ad quite regularly. It always starts out with something about how you’ve seen this opportunity featured on CNN, FOX and so on.

So why talk about this. Well because number 1 you need to know when a crook is targeting you. Number 2 because the fact is people like these give even the true business opportunity a bad name. So I’m writing this today to give some advice on some things to consider when picking out a network marketing company to build a business with.

First, I would advise you to pick a company where you can actually talk to an individual who has used it. This could even be one of the network marketers but you want to talk to someone who knows if the company actually pays up when business is written. Someone who can tell you if there is actually business to be written. Let’s face it, the customer service dept of a company is not going to be very helpful when gathering this kind of information. All they know is what the company tells them to say to everybody. They don’t sell the product. They draw a paycheck for showing up to work for a certain number of hours and reading a script to callers on the phone.

Doing this will go a long way in insuring that you are not getting ripped off. Talking to a person who is actually working the system will allow you to find out if there are hidden charges that the company pulls from your account. You might want to ask them if they have had problems getting paid for business they wrote. What kind of tools or training is provided. Ask them about the product and if they have ever used it themselves. These are just some of the examples of questions you might ask.

Secondly, I would pick a company that has been around for awhile and has a set business plan. Many companies go out of business within the first few years. This doesn’t mean you would not have made any money with them but lets face it. You don’t want to spend two to three years building up your income and then just suddenly have the company go belly up. Pick a company that has been out there for awhile and has been successful. Look for one that can provide testimonials and again try to find someone to talk to that has been in business with them.

Everybody talks about getting in on the ground floor. The thing to remember is that where this company may have been in business for awhile, you are starting a new business. You are getting in on the ground floor regardless. A company that has been around for awhile and established itself is going to be able to provide better support and is going to provide a better chance for success than a new company.

Last, but definitely not least, know what products the company deals in. Is it something truly useful, or is it really just a fad? Consider, is there really a market for the product? How unique is it? If the product is useful, and there is a market for it, but it isn’t something that you see everyday, then there is a good chance you can become very successful selling it.

So I believe that about covers it. There are a lot of true business opportunities out there. I’m involved in one myself and have friends that have literally become millionaires using some of these home business opportunities. But you do want to be careful that you are looking at the real deal. There are a lot of companies out there who specialize in ripping people off. So remember, find someone who is actually working the business to talk to, pick a company that has been around for awhile, and consider the product.

If you follow this advice the only thing that will determine your level of success will be you. See you at the top.
